Solar panels have no moving parts, which makes them highly durable and low-maintenance. Periodic cleaning and inspections are typically all that’s required.
Durability: Most solar panels come with warranties of 20–25 years, but they often continue producing energy for decades.
Cost Predictability: Solar energy can shield you from fluctuating electricity rates, offering predictable energy costs over time.
Reduced Dependence on the Grid: By producing your own power, you’re less reliant on utility companies, which can be beneficial during power outages or price hikes.
Potential to Go Off-Grid: With battery storage systems, you can store solar energy for nighttime or emergencies, further increasing your independence.
Reduced Electricity Bills: By generating your own power, you rely less on the grid, lowering your monthly electricity expenses.
Increased Home Value: Solar installations can boost your property’s value, as many buyers find homes with lower utility costs more appealing.
Net Metering: Many areas offer net metering programs, where excess energy you generate is fed back into the grid, earning you credits.
Supports Job Growth: The solar industry creates jobs in installation, manufacturing, and maintenance.
Clean Energy Source: Solar panels generate electricity without emitting greenhouse gases, helping reduce your carbon footprint.
Sustainable Resource: Solar power relies on the sun, a renewable energy source that won’t run out
Solar panels require little to no maintenance, since there are no moving parts in the solar panels. All parts in the solar panels are fixed and have no movement. However, if something happens, our team can assist to ensure your system is running at maximum efficiency. We also offer repairs, if needed.
Our Solar panels are guaranteed to produce at least 85% by year 25. This is incredibly high considering most major components in a home such as a water heater, roof, HVAC, windows, or insulation need to be replaced at least once to twice during the same 25 year period. If any of the solar panels produce less than 85% within the 25 years (compared to day 1), the solar panel is replaced at no cost to you.
After the 25 year mark, the solar panels are expected to have 1% efficiency loss every 2 years. With this, the solar panels will last at least 35-40 years, and maybe longer.
Additionally, Pure Energy guarantees no water leaks. If there is, contact us and we will fix the issue.
This answer can vary greatly depending upon your energy usage. Not everyone’s household usage is exactly the same. Depending upon the energy efficiency of the home (excluding solar), the amount of electricity that is being used, how hot or cold you keep the house, how many devices are connected, and so many other factors.
In general, the solar panels will produce the initial energy you, your family, and your home are using. This energy comes at a fixed cost that the initial solar panels owner had the vision to lock in. This means your energy prices will NOT increase over time like your neighbors without the solar (yet) will continue to see, since energy prices having been going up annually for the last 100 plus years.
For specifics, contact us for more information, pending permission from the current solar panel owner to share the monthly solar payment and an overview of what to expect.
Today’s solar panels are built to withstand the hail and winds we get in Texas. They are nearly as durable as a metal roof. If a severe hailstorm happens, your solar panels will withstand the hail much much more than a composite shingle roof. This means, there is a low chance of them breaking. If a solar panel is broken, insurance pays to not only replace your roof, but also the solar panel that is broken, including paying our guys to take the panels off and putting them back on. Please contact us if we need to help with this!
