Solar panels are low maintenance. Optional occasional inspections and occasional cleaning are usually sufficient to keep them performing optimally. Typically a simple rinse with the water hose or even just the rain will be sufficient to ensure optimal performance. 

 Solar panels can be installed on most types of roofs, including shingle, tile, metal, and flat roofs. The orientation and shading are typically more of a concern than the roof type.

After talking to and working with multiple insurance companies and homeowners, most homeowners will not see an increase in their insurance costs. Some homeowners will see an increase of around $8/month (i.e. $96.00/year), while others will see a decrease in cost due to the increase of efficiency. 

There are three basic options you have when moving with solar.

2. The new homeowner can pay you directly to pay off the panels and keep them on the home. 

3. The new homeowner can contact us for possible financing options to take over the monthly payment on the system. 

Recent real estate studies show that homes with solar are selling 20% faster than homes without and are often seeing an increase in equity so if you have to sell after being installed, there are benefits. 

 While it's possible to go off the grid with solar and energy storage, it can be more complex and expensive. Most residential solar installations remain connected to the grid for reliability. 

Texas has laws protecting your right to install solar panels even if you're part of an HOA. The HOA may have specific guidelines for where on the house the panels can be installed, such as not being visible from the front to keep street appeal, but they cannot deny the installation altogether.
